Tommy Douglas Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide financial assistance for the post-secondary education of children of NUPGE members. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be children (including foster children) of National Union of Public and General Employees members who plan to enter the first year of a Canadian public post-secondary education institution. Criteria: Recipient will be selected based on an essay (750-1000 words) on “How Tommy Douglas contributed to making Canada a more just and equitable society.”.

Terry Fox Memorial Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To inspire the educational endeavors of students with disabilities. Focus: General studies. Criteria: Recipient will be selected based on an essay (750-1000 words) on “The importance of quality public services in enhancing the quality of life of people with disabilities.”.
