State and locally supported, 2-year, coed. Part of Illinois Community College Board. Awards certificates, transfer associate, and terminal associate degrees. Founded 1967. Setting: 294-acre suburban campus with easy access to Chicago. Endowment: $12 million. Educational spending 2003-04: $2081 per student. Total enrollment: 16,077. Student-undergrad faculty ratio is 29:1. 3,728 applied, 100% were admitted. 3% from top 10% of their high school class, 15% from top quarter, 41% from top half. Community Environment:

Palos Hills is located 20 miles south of downtown Chicago near Oak Lawn, a suburban area that has access to all the cultural, educational, and recreational opportunities of Chicago. All major forms of transportation are available. The climate is seasonal. Part-time employment is available.
