Jewish Federation Academic Scholarships (Graduate, Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To support the education of a Jewish college or graduate student. Focus: Medicine; Education; Social work; Arts; Public health; Urban affairs/design/planning; Law. Qualif.: Applicant must be Jewish; be born or raised in either: Cook County, Chicago metropolitan area, or Northwest Indiana; or have one continuous year of full-time employment in Cook County or Chicago metropolitan area prior to starting professional education; must intend to remain in the Chicago metropolitan area after completing school; must be entering as a full-time student in an accredited professional graduate program or entering as junior or senior undergraduate student at an accredited professional education program; and must be demonstrating career promise in a helping profession. Criteria: Award is given based on need.

Funds Avail.: More than $500,000 each year. To Apply: Applicants must submit a completed Application Data Form; Career Statement Form; Budget Worksheet; and Academic Budget form as an attachment to [email protected]. In addition, applicants must send by mail a Legal Domicility Form; two letter of reference form; IRS Forms; parents' or spouse's IRS; documentation of tuition cost; Release of Information form; and official transcripts.
