Savatori Fellowships (Graduate/Fellowship)

Purpose: To improve the ability of the American people to understand their heritage, to distinguish its principles, and to choose well so that, through self-governance, they may protect their nation and preserve their liberties for themselves and the generations to come. Focus: American studies. Qualif.: Applicant must be a U.S. citizen and member of the Intercollegiate Studies Institute; must be a college senior or graduate student; must engage in graduate studies for the purpose of teaching at the college level. Criteria: Applicant must meet the requirements specific to the fellowship.

Funds Avail.: $10,000. Number Awarded: 2. To Apply: Application form are available at the website. Applicant must submit the following: (1) Four brief statement; (2) Three essays; (3) Three letters of academic recommendation; (4) College transcript; (5) 2x3 photo or headshot. Richard M. Weaver Fellowships (Graduate/Fellowship)

Purpose: To assist motivated future teachers, similar to Professor Weaver, by the need to integrate the idea of liberal education with their teaching efforts, and, in so doing, to restore to university studies their distinction and worth. Focus: Education. Qualif.: Applicant must be a U.S. citizen and member of the Intercollegiate Studies Institute; must be a college senior or graduate student; must engage in graduate studies for the purpose of teaching at the college level. Criteria: Applicant must meet the requirements specific to the fellowship.

Funds Avail.: Stipend of $5,000 and awards $1,000 in ISI Books. To Apply: Application form is available at the website address.
