Province-supported, 4-year, coed. Awards bachelor's degrees. Setting: small town campus. Endowment: $2 million. Educational spending 2003-04: $5227 per student. Collegiate Environment:
100,000 books, 1,700 serials, 500 audiovisual materials, an OPAC, and a Web page. Operations spending 2003-04: $134,114. 50 computers available on campus for general student use. A campuswide network can be accessed from student residence rooms and from off campus. Staffed computer lab on campus.
Community Environment:
Camrose, a city of 14,000, is a service center for Alberta's Aspen Parklands. A family-oriented community, it is an education center, as well; it is home to two other postsecondary schools in addition to Augustana. It is fifty miles southeast of Edmonton, Alberta's capital, and 50 minutes from Edmonton International Airport, which is served by seven airlines. Greyhound Canada operates 19 trips a week each way between Edmonton and Camrose.
