AACN Excellence in Academics Nursing Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To promote education in nursing. Focus: Nursing. Qualif.: Applicant must have a GPA of 3.5 or better; enrolled full-time in a baccalaureate program; a junior student pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program. Criteria: Selection is based on the application.

Funds Avail.: $2500. Number Awarded: 2. To Apply: Applicants must submit a completed application form together with the required materials. Send application and materials to Laura Guetter at AACN via email [email protected], or fax to 202785-8320. Deadline: August 1 and November 1.

Remarks: In partnership with Lydia's Professional Uniforms, a leading supplier of apparel for health professionals.

AACN Minority Nurse Faculty Scholarships (Graduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To diversify the faculty population to the field of nursing education. Focus: Nursing. Qualif.: Applicant must be enrolled full-time in an accredited graduate nursing program; a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or qualified immigrant; an underrepresented Minority, (Caucasian/non-Hispanic applicants are not eligible); committed to teach nursing in the United States after successful completion of graduate studies. Criteria: Selection is based on merit.

Funds Avail.: $18,000. Number Awarded: 5. To Apply: Applicants must submit a completed application form together with the required materials. Deadline: June 13.

Remarks: Awardees will be required to sign a letter of commitment that they will provide a one-year payback in a teaching role for each year of scholarship support provided. AfterCollege/AACN Nursing Scholarships (Graduate, Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To promote education in nursing. Focus: Nursing. Qualif.: Applicant must be enrolled at an AACN member institution; seeking baccalaureate, master's or doctoral degree in nursing; and have a GPA of 3.25 or higher. Criteria: Consideration is given to students enrolled in a master's or doctoral program and pursuing a nursing faculty career; completing an RN to baccalaureate program (BSN); or enrolled in an accelerated baccalaureate or master's degree nursing program.

Funds Avail.: $2500. To Apply: Applicants are advised to visit the website for the application forms. Deadline: January 31, April 30, July 31 and October 31.

Qualif.: Applicant must be enrolled full-time in an accredited graduate nursing program; a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or qualified immigrant; resident of the state of California; an underrepresented Minority, (Caucasian/non-Hispanic applicants are not eligible); committed to teach nursing in the United States after successful completion of graduate studies. Criteria: Selection is based on the application.

Funds Avail.: $18,000. To Apply: Applicants must submit a completed application form together with the required materials. Deadline: May 30.
