Jerman, Edward or Jarman, Edward (d. 1668). London surveyor and carpenter, he was one of the three Surveyors appointed to control the rebuilding of the City after the fire of 1666, the other two being Hooke and Mills. He designed several Livery-Company Halls and the Royal Exchange (1667–71—demolished), a handsome building with a tower rising from a triumphal arch.
