Free Classicism
Free Classicism. Late-C19 English style, essentially a mixture of Classical, Mannerist, Renaissance, and Baroque motifs. Examples include John McKean Brydon's (1840–1901) Chelsea Town Hall, London (1885–7), and Government Offices, Whitehall, London (1898–1912), the latter perhaps more Baroque.
