Barre, Eloy de la
Barre, Eloy de la (1764–1833). French architect. A pupil of J. -D. Antoine and Chalgrin, he succeeded A. -T. Brongniart as architect of the Paris Bourse, and indeed completed that important Neo-Classical building. He played a significant part in architectural developments in Paris from about 1810.
