partially sighted register
partially sighted register (par-shă-li) n. (in Britain) a list of persons who have poor sight (adequate to permit the performance of tasks for which some vision is essential) but are not technically blind. The list is maintained by local authorities (England and Wales), regional or island councils (Scotland), or the Health and Social Services Board (Northern Ireland). Compare blind register.
