meningomyelocele (myelocele, myelomeningocele) (min-ing-oh-my-ĕ-loh-seel) n. protrusion of the meninges, spinal cord, and nerve roots through a gap in the spine, accompanied by paralysis of the legs and urinary incontinence. See neural tube defects.
