gonadotrophin-releasing hormone (GnRH, gonadorelin) n. a peptide hormone produced in the hypothalamus and transported via the bloodstream to the pituitary gland, where it controls the synthesis and release of other hormones, the pituitary gonadotrophins. GnRH analogue see gonadorelin analogue.
