Gilles de la Tourette syndrome (Tourette's syndrome) (zheel dĕ la toor-et) n. a condition characterized by multiple tics, both motor tics (e.g. eye rolling, arm movements) and vocal tics (e.g. grunts and, in a minority of patients, involuntary obscene speech), for at least one year.
