CAREER: Hungarian Academy, librarian, 1962–67; Hungarian Postal Services, librarian, 1968–91; Hungarian Academy of Sciences, head of medieval department of Institute of History, chief librarian, and director of library, 1996–98, associate member of academy, 1995–2001, permanent member, 2001.
