SIDELIGHTS: Zander Cannon is best-known for his own Replacement God comic-book series and as a contributor to the illustrations in Alan Moore's Top Ten comic-book series. The title prefers to a police precinct in the city of Neopolis, where every human and every animal has super powers. The issues were collected in two volumes. A reviewer for Grovel.org.uk, described the story as "a Hill Street Blues in tights and exoskeletons…. The plot is driven by both character and situation, giving the book superb sense of balance."

A Publishers Weekly reviewer, who felt that it is necessary to read the first volume before picking up the second, remarked that the volume's artwork "reverts to an older tradition of elaborate pen and ink text illustration, slowing readers down just enough to make them alert to the elegant details."
