SIDELIGHTS: Mary Bagley told CA: "I've always written about things I've liked such as the old movie palaces. They're fascinating—enchanting. They inspire my imagination by their exotic design. I tend to write also as therapy. It helps me escape many of life's sad things. I recently lost my mother and brother within three months of each other. My form of catharsis is expressing my feelings in a short story, and the words seem to flow so easily."
