Speuy, Henderick (Joostzoon)
Speuy, Henderick (JooStzoon), Netherlands organist and compoer; b. Brielle, c. 1575; d. Dordrecht, Oct. 1, 1625. He settled in Dordrecht as organist of the Grote Kerk and the Augustijnen Kerk in 1595. He publ, a vol. of bicinia for organ or harpsichord as De psalmen Davids, gestelt op het tabulatuer van het orghel ende claver-cymmel met 2. partijen (Dordrecht, 1610; ed. by F. Noske, Amsterdam, 1962), which was formerly attributed to Sweelinck and publ, in that composer’s collected works (Leipzig, 1899).
