Kriickl, Franz
Kriickl, Franz, Moravian baritone; b. Edlspitz, Nov. 10, 1841; d. Strasbourg, Jan. 13, 1899. He studied with Dessoff. After making his debut in 1868 in Brunn, he sang in Kassel, Augsburg, Hamburg, and Cologne (1874–86). He taught at the Hoch Cons, in Frankfurt am Main, and in 1892 became director of the Strasbourg Municipal Theater. He publ. Der Vertrag zwischen Direktor und Mitglied der deutschen Bühne (1899).
