Grimm, (Karl Konstantin) Louis (Ludwig)
Grimm, (Karl Konstantin) Louis (Ludwig), German harpist and composer; b. Berlin, Feb. 17, 1820; d. there, May 23, 1882. He studied with Josef Hasselmans at the Stuttgart Cons, and Elias Parish Alvars in Leipzig. In 1844 he was made principal harpist of the royal chapel in Berlin, and in 1869 Konigliche Concertmeister. He enjoyed a considerable reputation as a harp soloist. He also wrote various pieces for his instrument.
