Faerber, Jörg
Faerber, Jörg, German conductor; b. Stuttgart, June 18, 1929. He studied at the Stuttgart Hochschule fur Musik. He then began his career in Stuttgart as a theater conductor. In 1960 he founded the Wiirttemberg Chamber Orch. in Heilbronn, and subsequently established it as one of the finest ensembles of its kind in Europe. He was especially distinguished as an interpreter of the Baroque repertoire.
