Brätel, Ulrich
Brätel, Ulrich, German composer; b. c. 1495; d. Stuttgart, 1544 or 1545. After working at the Vienna, Hungarian, Polish, and Heidelberg courts, he was in the service of Duke Ulrich of Württemberg in Stuttgart (from 1534). He composed many works for the Reformed church liturgy, secular vocal pieces, and instrumental music.
