Audran, Marius-Pierre
Audran, Marius-Pierre, French tenor, pedagogue, and composer, father of (Achille) Edmond Audran; b. Aix, Provence, Sept. 26, 1816; d. Marseilles, Jan. 9, 1887. After singing in Marseilles, Bordeaux, and Lyons, he was first tenor at the Paris Opéra-Comique. In 1863 he became a prof. of voice and director of the Marseilles Cons.
