Queen of France . Name variations: Marie of Luxemburg. Born in 1305; died of puerperal fever around 1323 near Bourges, France; eldest daughter of Margaret of Brabant (d. 1311) and Henry VII, Holy Roman emperor (r. 1308–1313); became second wife of Charles IV the Fair (1294–1328), king of France (r. 1322–1328), on September 21, 1322.
