Mariamne (fl. 1st c.)

Saint and Biblical woman.

It is claimed that after Jesus' ascension, Mariamne, a pious widow, accompanied the apostle Philip to teach the gospel to the Scythians at Hieropolis, and that afterwards she carried the Gospel to Lycaonia and died there. Her feast day is on February 17.
