Maddalena of Canossa (1774–1833)

Maddalena of Canossa founded the congregation of the Daughters of Charity, an order that taught the peasants and cared for the sick. As a young girl, she had caught the eye of Napoleon; her demeanor reminded him of an angel. Maddalena's feast day is April 10.
