A striking blue-eyed blonde, June Lang was a professional dancer before breaking into films as an extra in Young Sinners (1931). After several other small movie roles, she was placed under contract at Fox, where she was groomed as a potential star. She was cast in a series of awkward roles, however, and, though she photographed well, never clicked as a screen personality. After she walked out of a shoot in London in 1938, her contract was canceled. Lang went on to a series of unremarkable roles in mostly small pictures, the last of which was Lighthouse (1947). After a few commercials and a brief stint as an on-air telephone operator for a Los Angeles talk show, she retired. Lang was married at least three times; her second and very brief union with convicted mobster Johnny Roselli was said to have further damaged her career.
