Elizabeth Henrietta of Hesse-Cassel (1661–1683)
German noblewoman. Born on November 8, 1661, in Cassel; died on June 27, 1683, in Coln au Der, Spree; daughter of William VI the Just (b. 1629), landgrave of Hesse-Cassel; became first wife of Frederick III (1657–1713), elector of Brandenburg (r. 1688–1701),later Frederick I, king of Prussia (r. 1701–1713), on August 23, 1679; children: Louise Dorothea of Brandenburg (1680–1705). Frederick's second wife was Sophie Charlotte of Hanover (1668–1705).
