American murderer. Hanged Jan 3, 1786, in Chester, Pennsylvania.
Resident of East Bradford, PA, murdered her 10-week-old illegitimate twins; was hanged, despite the fact that her brother William had obtained a reprieve from the governor and ridden hard over muddy terrain to save her (he arrived 23 minutes too late).
