Wiberg, Pernilla (1970–)

Swedish Alpine skier. Born Oct 15, 1970, in Norkoping, Sweden.

Won a gold medal for giant slalom at World championships (1991); won a gold medal for giant slalom at Albertville Olympics (1992); finished 2nd overall in World Cup standings and 2nd in slalom (1993–94); won a gold medal for combined at Lillehammer Olympics (1994); finished 10th in World Cup downhill standings (1995–96); won gold medals in the slalom and combined at World championships (1996); registered 8 World Cup victories (5 in slalom, 2 in super-G, and 1 in downhill, 1996–97); won 1st overall crown and set a single-season record for most World Cup points in the final World Cup standings—1,960 (1997); won a silver medal for downhill at Nagano Olympics (1998); won a gold medal for combined at World championships (1999); competed at Salt Lake City Olympics but did not medal (2002).
