American actress. Born Jean Wallasek, Oct 12, 1923, in Chicago, IL; died Feb 14, 1990, in Beverly Hills, CA; m. Franchot Tone (actor), 1941 (div. 1948); m. Cornel Wilde (actor), 1951 (died 1989).
Was featured in such films as Louisiana Purchase, When My Baby Smiles at Me, Jigsaw, The Good Humor Man, Native Son, and Star of India; also starred opposite husband Cornel Wilde in a number of his independent films, including Maracaibo, Lancelot and Guinevere, Beach Red, and No Blade of Grass.
