Portuguese princess. Born in 1157; drowned off Flanders on May 6, 1218; daughter of Matilda of Maurienne (c. 1125–1157) and Alphonso I Henriques, also known as Alphonso I, king of Portugal (r. 1139–1185); sister of Urraca of Portugal (c. 1151–1188), Sancho I, king of Portugal (r. 1185–1211), and Matilda of Portugal (c. 1149–1173); married Philip the Great, count of Flanders and Artois, in 1183; married Eudes III, duke of Burgundy, in 1194 (divorced 1195).
