At World championships, won gold medals for 800-meter freestyle and 1,500-meter freestyle (2001) and for 400-meter freestyle, 800-meter freestyle, and 1,500-meter freestyle (2003); won a bronze medal for 4 × 200-meter freestyle relay at Athens Olympics (2004).
