American journalist and comic-strip writer. Born 1954 in Savannah, Georgia; graduated with liberal arts degree from Pomona College; studied at Stanford; never married.
Writer of the comic strip "Brenda Starr," had 15 years newspaper experience when she began writing the comic strip after Dale Messick's retirement.
