West German track-and-field athlete. Name variations: Heide Rosendahl; Heidemarie Ecker; Heide Ecker-Rosendahl. Born Feb 14, 1947, in Hückeswagen, West Germany; dau. of a national discus-thrower.
Won a silver medal for pentathlon at European championships (1967) and a gold medal (1971); won a gold medal in the long jump, team gold in 4 × 100-meter relay, and silver for pentathlon at Munich Olympics (1972).
