American dancer. Born 1893 in New York, NY; dau. of Pat Rooney and Josie Granger; sister of Pat, Katherine, Mathilda, Julia Rooney.
Made debut as a child in her parents' vaudeville troupe; formed duet act with sister Josie as Rooney Sisters (1905), performing cake-walk on Orpheum circuit and at European cabarets (1906–13); performed on tour with Walter Clinton in exhibition ballroom act (1913–c. 1925).
