British-born missionary and educator. Name variations: Sister Beatrice. Born Nov 2, 1829, in St. Erth, Hayle, Cornwall, England; died Feb 20, 1921, in Honolulu, HI; dau. of James (carpenter) and Ann (Ellis) Rogers.
Became Sister Beatrice in First Order of Congregation of Religious of the Society of the Most Holy Trinity (Jan 1867); with Sister Albertina, opened Anglican school, St. Andrew's Priory, in Honolulu (Mar 1867); after closing of mission, was permitted to remain in Hawaii to serve as guardian for several local children and to continue teaching at St. Andrew's (1892–1902).
