Dutch politician. Born Mar 20, 1947, in Tholen, Netherlands; State University of Leiden, PhD in psychology, 1980.
Served as chief scientific adviser, State University of Leiden (1972–87) and head of conference and seminars for NIVE (Netherlands Management Association, 1987–91); as a member of the European Liberal, Democrat and Reform Party, elected to 4th and 5th European Parliament (1994–99, 1999–2004); chaired the Delegation for relations with the People's Republic of China.
