Swedish actress. Born on May 23, 1929, in Göteborg, Sweden; died of bone cancer on August 20, 1982, in Vienna, Austria; married an Austrian scientist; no children.

After an early stage career, Swedish actress Ulla Jacobsson gained international attention with her second movie, One Summer of Happiness (1951), directed by Arne Mattsson. She subsequently appeared in Smiles of a Summer Night (1955), the breakthrough film of famed Swedish director Ingmar Bergman. During the 1960s, Jacobsson also starred in British, French, and German movies. Her only American film was Love Is a Ball (1963). The actress, who was married to an Austrian scientist, died of bone cancer in 1982, at the age of 53.
