American veterinarian. Born 1926 in Hazlehurst, Georgia.
Became the 1st woman graduate from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine (1950); served as1st woman president of National Association of Federal Veterinarians(NAFV, 1973–74) and 1st woman in charge of USDA Federal MeatInspection Division (beginning 1973).
