Hannan, Cora (c. 1912–)

Australian track-and-field athlete. Born c. 1912 in Adelaide, NSW, Australia; sister of Vida Hannan (track-and-field athlete); descendant of Paddy Hannan, founder of Kalgoorlie; m. Buckland C. Day, 1943.

Was the 1st Australian national champion for shot put and discus (1933); also excelled in high jump and hurdling; competed at all 7 nationals (1930–40).
