Haas, Christl (1943–2001)

Austrian Alpine skier. Born Sept 19, 1943, in Kitzbühel, Austria; suffered heart attack while swimming in the sea at Manavgat, Antalya, Turkey, and drowned, July 8, 2001.

Won a gold medal at Innsbruck Olympics (1964) and a bronze medal at Grenoble Olympics (1968), both for downhill; at World championships, won a gold medal for downhill (1962) and a silver medal for combined (1964).
