Known as the queen of the Hollywood extras, though the sobriquet is misleading; played leads and featured roles in many films and bits in hundreds of others; film credits include Irene, The Shadow, Lone Wolf in Paris, Meet John Doe, Song of the Thin Man, It Happened One Night, Ninotchka, You Can't Take It with You, The Great Gatsby, All About Eve, Pal Joey and Good Neighbor Sam.
