Eshkol, Noa (1927–)

Israeli dancer and dance notator. Born Feb 28, 1927, in Safed, then Palestine.

Performed in concert recitals (1940s–50s); best known for her work in dance notation and composition theory, developed system now known as Eshkol—or Eshkol-Wachmann—Notation, which can be used for all types of movement study, whether choreographed or not, ballet or folk dance.
