Made stage debut at Coventry Repertory; made film debut in The Crimson Circle (1936), followed by The Spy in Black, The Cardinal, The Four Feathers, The Thief of Bagdad, They Raid by Night, None but the Lonely Heart and And Then There Were None, among others.
