Competed in 3 Olympic Games for South Africa; moved to US (1993); won Berlin Marathon (1996); won Cherry Blossom 10m, New Haven Road Race 20k, Quad-City Times Bix 7 mile, Steamboat Classic 4 mile (1997); became US citizen (2000); won bronze medal at World Cross-Country championships (2002).
