American educator. Born in Oakland, California, c. 1874; dau. of Alexander and Frederica de Laguna; Stanford, AB, 1896, Columbia, AM, 1904.

With Jessica Smith Vance, founded Westlake School for Girls in Los Angeles (1904) and Westlake Junior College (1924), later known as Holmby College.
