Dubbed "First Lady of Radio" and the "Original Radio Girl" after crooning "Swanee River" at Lee Deforest's radio station (1920), became one of the 1st performers on WJZ, NY (1921); composed more than 500 songs and sang on Broadway in Laugh Clown Laugh (1923) and Easy Come, Easy Go (1925).
