Russian-born actress. Born June 30, 1881, in Russia; dau. of Jenny (Dawson) Sharlach and Robert E. Sharlach.
Famed for her imitations of popular actors, made triumphant London debut at Metropolitan Music Hall (1894); also appeared in The House That Jack Built, Pot-Pourri, The Belle of Bohemia, A Chinese Honeymoon (over 1,000 performances), Peggy Machree (title role), The Girl Behind the Counter, By George!, I Should Worry, The Eternal Flame and Mary Read; toured the US and often appeared in music halls.
