Theodor Zwinger
Swiss physician known for his work Theatrum vitae humanae, a type of universal encyclopedia in which he presented various texts. Born in Basel, Zwinger was educated in philology, languages, and medicine. He taught Greek and was a professor of theoretical medicine.
