Adelung, Johann Christoph (1732-1806)
German philologist and grammarian. Adelung published a work on the occult entitled Histoire des folies humaines, on Biographie des plus celebres necromanciens, alchimistes, devins, etc. (Leipzig, 1785-89). He died at Dresden.
